About the Youth Empowerment Summit (YES!)

Say YES!

YES! is a nationally award winning program with a mission to empower and encourage youth to say “YES!” to leadership roles and civic engagement in their local communities.

The 5th Annual Youth Empowerment Summit

In 2022, we celebrate 5 years of youth saying YES to civic engagement! On April 30th 2022, the 5th annual Youth Empowerment Summit will be held at the UC Davis ARC Ballroom, for an all-day, in-person event. We anticipate between 125-150 youth participants from all across Yolo County.

YES! seeks to educate youth about local government, the election process, and the importance of voting and civic engagement. Thanks to the support of our community, businesses, corporate sponsors, and private donations, participants will have the chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes, such as gift cards, gift baskets, gift certificates, swag, and more!

This year, we are incentivizing youth participants by offering three civic engagement awards to the schools with the highest student participation. Award prizes range from $250 to $1,000, and the winners of these awards will be determined by the number of YES! event participants as a percentage of their school's population.

Registration opens March 14th, 2022 and we look forward to seeing you at the YES! 2022 event! Remember to share this information among your friends and peers!
